In all cases, the problem was solved by reinstalling the version 1.10 AC97 drivers. Has anyone gotten the AC97 audio drivers higher than version 1.10 to produce acceptable on-board audio? If so, what could I be doing wrong? Also, I noticed that the compressed file for for the 1.10 driver is around 5 MB,

I have a K7S5A DDR MOBO with onboard AC97 sound which worked fine when running on Windows ME. I have just installed XP and have uninstalled old drivers and installed XP compliant drivers. I am now getting no sound of any description. Device manager indicates that everything is Ok, checked to make sure that nothing
