Hello everyone. First and foremost I'd like to say that Windows Vista Beta 2 is simply AMAZING! and I am going to buy it as soon as it is released!
When I installed my Beta 2 today, All drivers were perfectly installed by themselves. The only thing that gave me a headache are the audio drivers. I have on board audio. The motherboard is Gigabyte K8NF-9 Rev 2. After hours of searching in google I finally found out that Windows Update has the driver updates lol. I installed them and now sound is working. The only problem is that my 5.1 sound system is not working properly :(. It is working as a 2.1 and the rear speakers are not working at all. I tried changing in control panel buy no luck. It is set to 5.1 but doesn't provide 5.1.
Can any one help me with this? because my songs don't sound the same as they used to do.
Thanks, Any Help will be greatly appreciated. Soban Bhatti

AC97 Drivers
I had the same issue with MCE. you need the proper codec for DVD.

Not true. MCE 2005 did not come with DVD decoder and you had to buy your own. Vista did come with a DVD decoder.
The current AC'97 drivers from most providers are not feture complete, just driveirs tolet you hear something. I have the RealTek version and they are terrible...
